San Francisco approves delayed car run plan change

At noon a plan was set to run cars only after 2 pm with cars from the Oak and Broderick barns instead of Turk street. The shift followed a conference with President Calhoun General Manager Chapman and police commissioners. Police Chief Dinan said troops were not needed and his force could handle any demonstrations.

Poitou Wreck Off Uruguay Kills About One Hundred

Moore Wins Spokane Mayoral Race in 1,876 Vote Plurality

C Herbert Moore Republican was elected mayor of Spokane by 1,876 votes over Floyd J Daggett Democrat. The ticket also elected Robert Fairley Comptroller M H Eggleston Treasurer C Twitchell J B Phillipm A Dalke W G Eetep Fred Baldwin EL Lambert and others. Over 400 legal votes in one ward were challenged at the polls with warrants anticipated for illegal voting.
