Masked bandits seized a Northern Pacific train near Butte at dawn. Engineer Clow was killed, Fireman Sullivan wounded, and a dynamite filled satchel left on the engine. Fred Carlson Samuel Bustard and Albert Koutsen fell about 20 feet from an unfinished Becomdav and King street building scaffold. A head on collision between a passenger and a freight train on the Baltimore Ohio line 18 miles south of Wheeling, West Virginia, left two dead and four seriously injured this morning. Local crews rushed to the scene as emergency responders worked to aid survivors and clear wreckage. Authorities opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.

Peter Kirby aged 57 has been missing from San Francisco since April 18 1906 the day of the earthquake. San Francisco friends report he was later located in Seattle at the time of the quake and authorities are seeking further details.

Judge Albertson adjourned this morning for the funeral of Dan Kennedy the popular court reporter who died yesterday. Bailies Crane Gaux Raine and many county officers and attaches left work to attend the service showing respect for the deceased.
