Sleeping China by General Miles
General Miles argues China’s unique history and current overcrowding hinder recovery and national renewal. He notes industrious, civil Chinese traits but contends rapid population growth and limited travel restrict national self-improvement and awareness. He warns of repeated invasions and suggests examining Zingis/Chinggis Khan’s era to contextualize future threats.
