Geneva reports J P Morgan purchased several valuable old watches from Herr Martela of Berlin for 526000 dollars. The collection, once exhibited at Neuchatel, remained among the most valued timepieces.

San Francisco report: William Pletcher aged 17 was entangled in a giant kite amid a strong wind on Telegraph Hill and fell 200 feet to his death. The incident occurred late yesterday afternoon as the kite dragged him over the bluff.
