A massive cyclone struck multiple cities on March 25 causing widespread destruction. In HAM Ala the disaster left many dead and injures with churches schools and homes razed. Fires fanned by the wind hampered rescue as crews battle to reach victims and stabilise the city.

Mariners enlisted in Seattle head to Bremerton to be drilled and entered into service and then assigned to ships and stations across the Pacific.
Constantinople dispatch reports Turks led by Ruthel attacked Axhamahatlie in Mazan, killing three Bulgarians. The assault targeted local inhabitants, raising tensions in the region and drawing concern from authorities.

Lewin mine owner returning from Europe.
The Cunard liner Etruria arrived in New York after a tremendous gale on March 21. Passengers were alarmed during the voyage and a steerage girl became demented from fright. A Romanian passenger, Frederick Sawicki, died by suicide by hanging.
Portland March 2 The posse hunting a dancer’s killer at Underwood’s landing after J Benjamin was shot dead has not found the man sought. Authorities suspect jealousy sparked the homicide.
The Rainier completed a cargo run from San Francisco to Everett in three days carrying general merchandise and a deck load of barrels. In Muongary the provincial Governor Lakner was killed by Deputy Kubtnyl amid bitter political controversy. The killing occurred as tensions flare in Budapest on March 25.
Report from Daily Mall cites a plot against the czar of Russia and an uprising near St Petersburg. A confrontation between 50 striking workers and 800 Cossacks left many dead or wounded, with about 109 workers killed or injured.
The arrest of Fiditor H. R. Cayton of the Weekly Republican for criminal libel triggered a battle between factions led by Humes and Meredith.
