They will meet at Interbay at o'clock and traverse most of the route from the proposed outlet to the head, as confirmed by the city engineering department. The Valencia passenger case moves forward with amended complaint filed by Allison’s attorneys against the Atlantic Coast Steamship Co.
Mount Holly, N J March 24 George W Small and Rufus Johnson were hanged at the county jail for the murder of Miss Florence Allinson after a long sensational trial. Small confessed but later recanted Johnson maintained innocence though convicted on circumstantial evidence.
Ernest Ehrke was arrested by Sheriff John Liner on contempt of court for violating an injunction keeping him away from his wife’s home. The couple from Texas now in Seattle since last year have two children. Ehrke denied working as an artist, and his wife urged release after learning he was jailed. Judge Griffin later freed him, ruling the charges did not stand.
The board of trustees plans a private discussion on reorganizing the chamber and hiring a manager while promising a public report next week. Secretary J B Meikle returned from Los Angeles where he studied that city’s chamber like advertising bureau operations focusing on tourism rather than manufacturing.
