A lion used in Universal City jungle filming escaped guards and mauled a cameraman, possibly fatally. The injured man, unnamed, was treated at the studio emergency hospital after the lion seized his head and threw him to the ground. an assistant cameraman distracted the animal and rescuers recovered the unconscious man.
