Rates likely stay near last season, but carriers seek higher tariffs on some commodities.
Col. Pinghish orders the last British garrison in Canada to march out of Work Point barracks in May. About 350 men from all service branches and their families accompany the move. A carload of shingles caught fire at night at the Argo mills in Georgetown. By the time firemen arrived the car and the shingles were destroyed. The cause of the blaze is unknown.
