Norris Joiner a laborer from 1359 Twentieth avenue south reportedly died by jumping into the bay from the Spokane avenue bridge on June 19. His body was found near the mud bank after fishermen alerted the coroner and police. The event follows a report that his wife and family say he left home without explanation. In Elimira New York a double tragedy occurred at a home where a wife killed her husband while he slept and then took her own life. In Chicago another well known broker Henry Billings committed suicide by shooting, driven by despondency and his wife’s illness.
