The Soviet embassy reported Premier Lenin of Russia suffered a severe attack of gonarthritis on May 28. The attack, combined with overwork, affected his nerves and circulation. His condition is now improved and circulation normal. doctors order absolute rest during convalescence.

Former state banking chief Louis H Moore subpoenaed as county grand jury probes the June failure of the Scandinavian American Bank of Seattle. Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan, June A. Baker, reputed to have led a masked raid in Inglewood, is in the county hospital psych ward under observation after arrest. Reports say he planned to take his life, while grand jury indictments were anticipated but did not materialize.
In Cassel, Cassel Germany on June 6 Scheidemann a German politician was attacked. An assassin threw prussic acid at him and he was bedridden with injuries. He fired two shots at the assailant but the attacker escaped.
Tokyo reports Marquis Mochi Saionji, once a prominent and powerful leader in Japan, is seriously ill and confined to his Tokyo home. He is 84 years old.
Paris reports the aeroplane pilot Mire who died with six passengers in a Thieuloy Saint-Antoine crash told friends before departure that he had a death premonition.
