The district 240 miles inland is said to be as rich as announced. claims yield bedrock gold and a large elf can full on Oklahoma claim. A government survey 70 miles along Copper river has begun and Valdes plans a road from Valdes next year. Deputy Adamas has advanced settlement prospects and 700 people visited Chisna this season.
A dreadful fatality at an Everett mill was narrowly averted when a fireman rescued terrified mice and a kitten from a barrel of shavings meant for the furnace. The incident ended with the animals returned to safety and the mill workers spared a possible tragedy.
