Fire damages three story warehouse on Westernay
A three story warehouse between Atlantis and Connecticut streets, home to Grote Rankin Co. furniture dealers, caught fire at 1 30 this afternoon. Firemen arrived quickly after an alarm and fought the blaze as furniture filled the building. Much of the stock was damaged or destroyed despite efforts to save goods.

Will Call For Guarantee Fund To Aid Christian Endeavor Convention
The 1907 committee voted to call for the full guarantee fund pledged by Seattle citizens over a year ago to support the Christian Endeavor convention. Forty percent of the $15,000 fund has already been disbursed as efforts continue to raise the remainder through sale of certificates. Fire Gutts Grote Rankin Co Warehouse In Blaze
A blaze at the Grote Rankin Co warehouse on Railroaday between Connecticut and Atlantic streets gutted the first floor of the three story building and damaged furniture on the upper floors and basement. Fire officials stated the loss would be in the thousands and it started from defective wiring. No one was in the building and the fire was confined to the first floor with doors broken to gain access. The warehouse was insured.

Hurt by a Street Car
William Delaney a teamster living at 1717 Eighth Ave N was struck and slightly injured this morning by an inbound Ballard street car. After the accident he was placed on the car and taken to Providence hospital. He suffered bruises to the head and shoulders but his injuries are not considered serious. The wreck occurred at the intersection of Walker and Mercerts.
