Chicago officials report a growing meat boycott linked to anti price protests. State Federation Women's clubs plan to seek an endorsement and await the executive committee meeting next week to decide on action against rising meat costs.

Motorman B Melvin said Ballantine appeared intoxicated and staggered in the street. the slippery rail prevented stopping. Doctor F S Bourns said recovery is doubtful.
The Seattle performance by Harry Lauder drew $1,860 net after $5,160 in receipts and $1,860 in expenses with armory rental and ads. Pasadena January 21. For the first time justice records show a white man in a colored man's chicken house. George Willard testified he entered Wilson's roost to recover a hen given him by a friend after it escaped his grasp and flew over the fence. George Wilson, a man of color, testified as the prosecuting witness.
The grand jury today returned five more indictments charging country saloon keepers with possessing slot machines. Warrants for the proprietors were issued this afternoon. The total indictments by this grand jury reach 46. Most defendants will be arraigned before Judge Nonal tomorrow morning.
Hiram C Gill blasted Bob Moran and Bouillon accusing them of dirty work and a corrupt press. He claimed Bouillon shields a newspaper run by a mocked editor of The Star and threatened redress for slander against editors.
