Tragedy at Everett Cafe Ends in double tragedy
L L Paine, a Weyerhaeuser timber blacksmith, shot Minnie Scroggins, a Delmenico cafe waitress, after pursuing her despite another suitor. He then killed himself, collapsing beside the victim. Scroggins, daughter of a Roy, Washington resident, left a wife and family in another state.
