EB Doran of York station died in his sleep after returning from Seattle. He told his wife he was unwell and would rest on a lounge. Hours later she found him dead. The 78 year old will be buried at St Marys Church Twentieth Ave and Dearborn.
A former Canadian mounted police officer, K. Lewis, is jailed after an elopement with Mrs. Beastie Khallan Bessie M., wife of her husband Wentworth. The couple fled Portland January 28 and were tracked by local detectives. A reward of 86 is offered. a Portland patrolman identified a suspect as a smooth shaven man seen walking downtown.
The Hub Clothing company in Firetave has leased the adjoining room now occupied by United Clear. The lease authorizes occupancy beginning March 1.
Federal grand jury in New York indicted the Great Northern railroad on two counts for violating the Rikine anti rebate law. L M Palmer, a sugar refining official, is alleged to have received two rebates worth 10000 dollars in May 1904 and 4600 dollars the following June.
J B Wallace arrived from Paulkton with the body of HL Wallace drowned last week to take the remains to Watertown New York for burial in the family plot beside their parents four brothers are already buried there the father's dying wish was for the family to be laid to rest in the Watertown churchyard.

Bail was posted and further proceedings set. King, another shopkeeper, was alleged to have sold marijuana without a license. Patrolman Baker observed a sale while in plain clothes. Cameron of Hillsian City also faced liquor sale questions without prescription.
Olympia February 18 The Beattie Star sponsored Wildcat mining bill introduced by Senator Jane Jonen. The measure warns against false corporate reports and imposes penalties up to five years in prison or a $1090 fine for officers or agents issuing fraudulent statements to stockholders.
An amended application by Seattle Electric seeks to extend the road from the previous terminus toward York to the Perth boundary of Columbia town and to connect from 87th Gent to John Wilson road. The two franchises would complete the loop on Prefontaine Place and between Main and Jackson streets, and the ordinance dates back to January 7.
Dr. Washington Gladden warns that a reported $22 million Rockefeller gift to a church board could be seen as an attempt to influence courts. A hotel room worker witnessed a burglary while White A. Panden slept. Jewelry including a gold watch, a fan neteco ticket, a pin with ten pearls, and $60 in cash were taken. The thief fled but was captured after waking. The incident occurred during the night at the Leland Hotel.
Local police arrested a man identified as James Q, wanted in Portland and Seattle for numerous burglaries. Officials say details remain unclear but may reveal the suspect used an alias. The case is under investigation by Frisco authorities.

Chicago February 18 W J Bryan says there is no need of a big navy and that the ship subsidy discredits its sponsors as the worst issue beside the race question. He criticizes the president for tariff revision delay but commends his democratic principles. He calls the president’s current work an aid to educating the public in economic matters.
New York February 19. Paul Morton issued a statement denying a circulating rumor that the Equitable Life Assurance Society is about to be placed in the hands of a receiver. He said the rumor is groundless ridiculous and impossible.
Graham asks police to investigate a growing chicken theft in his neighborhood. He reports an intruder entered his coop at 271 Ninth Ave in a coat and tie and took several fowls. Neighbors also report dishware scents on their roasts.
J A Campbell logger was arrested at dawn on a complaint by Ed Duffy saloon keeper on Occidental avenue who cashed Campbell ten dollar check on theFederal bank officials refused to honor the check saying they knew nothing of Campbell.
