Thrift Week in Seattle Stimulates Bank Savings Drive
During Thrift Week Seattle banks plan to open at least five thousand new savings accounts. The campaign urges residents to save, spend wisely, and live within their means, marking the centennial of American savings banks and signaling nationwide thrift advocacy. Guardian Savings Bank, Scandinavian-American Bank, and State Bank of Seattle are named as participating institutions.
