A nitro glycerine mixing house at the DuPont Powder Co. plant exploded, killing three men. Superintendent J. J. Cox cannot explain the cause and suggests outside agents may have started the fire while the blaze was contained to the plant area. Gustav Wolff, among the dead, had served since last April and may have been targeted by those aiming to destroy the plant.
