Dino Lenzi, 21, surrendered after warning Tom Ray deputy prosecutor of Pierce County of a planned robbery and murder. Lenzi said a gang of five men and two women planned to enter Ray's home at 2974 N 21st, with Lenzi to ring the bell and others to subdue or kill occupants. Police secured Ray and a lookout woman watched, while rest fled. Seattle police alerted.

Two American sailors jailed at Mazatlan since November 12 on a charge of assaulting a Mexican will be released today, the state department advised. A brief Mexico dispatch notes the forthcoming release as a result of diplomatic action, with no further details provided.
Dr. Christopher Schott remains jailed in Louisville with a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday after a death linked to Elizabeth Ford Griffin aged 17. Bail offered at 10000 dollars but he did not seek a bond.
J. H. Williams a 17 year old quartermaster on the steamship Admiral Sampson was slugged by a lone bandit at the north end of the city and robbed of 54 dollars. He was found unconscious on the wet ground near dawn and later recovered consciousness at the city hospital. Williams did not recall the events after the thief asked the time. Doorman Brown of Frederick and Nelson's found him and the money was missing from his clothes. Police believe he will recover.

Theodore de Leon Concepcion a Filipino pled guilty to petit larceny for stealing Jane George’s purse in a Christmas noon rush at Second avenue and Pike street. Justice Otis W. Brinker sentenced him to six months in county jail after William A. Craig chased and captured him. $24 was returned to the owner. Concepcion had previous arrests and an earlier 80 day sentence for similar offenses.
Frank H. Warder, secretary of the Bryan league of New York, announced that William Jennings Bryan has been asked to arrange a speaking date before the April primaries at Madison Square Garden, New York City.
At Everett Interurban station two masked robbers held Nora Vi 22 a ticket clerk at gunpoint at 5 p m taking 841 79 in cash and tickets. They fled in a waiting car but were captured by Officer N P Anderson and George F Reynolds near 65th Ave. The three men Palmer R Fosse Arnold Fosse Verle Burnell were arrested and confessed. The loot included watches coins and a box of war tax tickets. Police recovered most of the money and the trio were jailed pending further inquiry.
The King County ferry Fortuna resumed service between Mercer Island and the mainland after being in drydock since Sunday. A damaged propeller blade clipped a wheel, prompting repairs and a brief shutdown.
