In Missouri on December 1 Jeda Hamilton, the youth who killed the Parsons family, was hanged as a crowd witnessed the execution. He had killed Mrs Parsons after a quarrel over a saddle and then murdered three Parsons children. Hamilton dragged the children from bushes and killed them, then dumped the bodies in a wagon and disposed of them near a creek. Mareliton, a fiancé at church, heard of the discovery and fled but was later captured.
Police report a 71 year old man attempted to kill a judge in a courthouse elevator this morning. The assailant, identified as Jersbrock, age 41, claimed a $20,000 estate and long probate litigation. The revolver misfired and no one was injured.

Tacoma December 21. The condition of Attorney Silas M Shipley is improved but remains critical. Doctors feared for his recovery earlier, but authorities now believe he is past immediate danger. Mrs Shipley learned of the illness from The Star and left for Tacoma this afternoon.
Early daylight raid by Sergt Bannick and Officers Hughett and Parsons at a Japanese hotel near Siathav south and Weller street disrupted a gambling operation. Seven men were detained and released after posting ten dollar bonds. M Mamota faced a disorderly house charge while six others were booked for gambling.

A Utica couple arrested with Frank Hellberg confessed to stealing about 14 000 dollars in plate and jewels from the Chicago home of Charles Stein where they were employed as servants. The suspect reported the spree followed their employment at Stein's residence and implicates both partners in the burglary.

The body was moved to Bonney-Watson undertakers.
