In Walla Walla residents are urged to avoid playful dancing and rough horseplay such as bunny hugs and turkey trots. The note warns that such behavior could lead to trouble or jail and advises girls to avoid interaction with a man nicknamed Texas Tom.
The report describes farmers in Sumner facing losses as Japanese buyers and larger merchants reduce returns. Thompson shipped asparagus to Seattle, selling mostly in boxes of 14 pounds at low prices. The International Welfare league will hold a meeting at the Seattle Commercial Club rooms at 7:30 Friday evening. Officers for the coming year will be elected.
Seattle policemen start a 1 percent club collection to fund toys candy and gifts for chimney kids at Dreamland rink. Donors include Winton Motor Car staff and several local businesses with a total nearing 24 dollars in hand as of today.
Olympia December reports the Washington Welfare league forming to oppose Blethen chimes at the University of Washington. Twenty six trustees including Harry E Moore pledge a state wide campaign to raise 12000 for the chimes or have them removed, with petitions to Gov Lister and the legislature.
