Lake Washington Canal to Get Permanent Lock Plan
Washington delegation secures an appropriation to build a permanent lock for the Lake Washington canal. Funds formerly for a wooden lock will widen and deepen the canal to serve as a harbor for the largest ships including the Puget Sound line.
