In Paris on August 2 the outlaw Guerin and his besieged group spent another night on the roof. Firemen were feared to be fed through the chimney while police found chicken bones near Guerin's barrel and could not explain how chickens were acquired. The watch reportedly grows lax.
President McKinney and wife and Vice President Hebart arrive in Asbury Park New Jersey greeted by a large crowd at the depot.
