Mrs. Mackett of Trownaville, Pa., gave birth yesterday to seven children six boys and one girl. Two male infants and the girl died within hours, while four boys survived. The mother and four healthy babies are reported doing well as crowds gathered at the home. The father, a coal miner, arrived to witness the extraordinary event.
Timothy Pelcher, who escaped from the penitentiary in May, has been recaptured in Columbus, Ohio. He plans to enlist in the regular army within hours of capture and was returned wearing a soldier's uniform. He described his escape in a box, nearly giving up as the box wire loosened and tobacco smoke suffocated him, then kicked free after the boxes were unloaded.

Jefferson City Missouri August report says Frank Wallace a nineteen year old convict from Kanena City jumped from the top stair landing on the third floor dining room to the stone pavement below and died instantly. He was serving a twelve year term for robbery and had been at the penitentiary since December.
Klaw Franger has bought the Daly theatre lease with ten years left for 100000 dollars. The purchase includes contracts and stage properties from the late manager but not costumes, scenery or memories used in Shakespearean and old comedy productions. Charlie Frohman, already controlling five New York theaters, will manage for Klaw and Erlanger and has offered his brother Daniel a partnership.
