Local attorney Connell says he will seek an injunction if the city council moves to merge jail and city hall funding. He argues bonds from a jail project cannot be diverted to a city hall, and he has placed the matter with Harrison Bostwick to file suit at the first council move.
In a tense meeting the commissioners considered dividing the district over a $1700 schoolhouse built in a prior location. The superintendent and commissioners visited the site Monday and expressed mixed support for division while factional disputes over the act continued. Angles, April 5 The Woolmen of the 87 formed a head officers group and chose Seattle as the Woodcraft headquarters. A vote on the session location was to be held Saturday with decisions pending.
Orleans reports a May meeting of the sources of the International King’s Daughters and Sons to be held in New Orleans. The event continues through the week with improving attendance and growing interest in its annual history.

Reverend Daniel Bagley a pioneer Methodist Protestant minister died at 6 am Thursday at his home 900 Second Avenue North after a violent indigestion attack. He came to the city in 1860, built the church of his denomination, and served many years as pastor. Born September 7, 1818 in Crawford County Pennsylvania he moved to Salem Oregon in 1842 as a missionary. He leaves his widow and a son Clarence B Bagley secretary of the board of public works.
