Girl poisoned before trial in Topeka case
In Topeka Kansas Miss Katherine Foley 21 died after saying a man and a woman forced poison down her throat. She was to testify at the Wichita trial of George Kruse charged with killing his third wife. Foley’s father said Kruse had offered to pay their expenses to leave Topeka. He claimed Kruse warned of 99 years in the penitentiary if she testified. Also noted is a Bowdon car owner claiming a world mileage record of 99 152 miles on a net of cord tires.
