In the county commissioners office at the courthouse a confrontation erupts between Richard son and McKenzie. Hamilton and Richardson lead a pack of henchmen as blows rain down on McKenzie with a ferocious assault. The scene ends with order restored and McKenzie wounded.
In Raymond Washington Jimmy and Johnny Davis, both youths, burglarize a shack on Fuhrman Street in Seattle while hungry. Jimmy waits in jail in hopes a sponsor appears to take him into a good home, as Judge Frater and Acting Prosecutor Elliat consider leniency and responsibility from a sponsor.
The report notes Mrs. H C Gill assisting Mayor Hiram Gill before his Portland trip as he plans to address the Multnomah County Bar Association. The scene mentions his shoulder ache from frequent handshakes and hints at a concern over trouble money.

In Houston on April 1 Pat Newman, manager of the Houston club, slugged New York Giants boss John McGraw after a quarrel over the term busher. Edna Sjolseth twenty one year old daughter of Mrs I L Sjolseth of 1513 Seventh av N was found dead in Union Day Tuesday afternoon badly decomposed. She had threatened to kill herself due to ill health and disappeared from home earlier. A rowboat found the body about fifty feet from the east end of the Lake Washington canal.
Dr Waldo Richardson, county hospital head, beat County Commissioner McKenzie in a courthouse altercation witnessed yesterday. McIntyre said he will file civil proceedings against Commissioner Hamilton amid broad public sentiment against him. Deputies quelled the brawl after a riot call.
