Mrs. Mary Ekberg announced the Seal Beach Red Cross drive was a great success with contributions from the chapter including Mesdames Dorothy Henkey Anita Shufelt Florene Parker Kermit Moore Marie Callen Clarerice Brown and Ernest Muse. Mrs Brown and Mrs Muse gave $1 each to buy darning wools and kit materials. Tomorrow materials such as soap boxes playing cards cigarettes shoe polishing cloths pencils envelopes notepaper chewing gum laces match boxes razor blades books magazines sewing cases toothbrushes and tooth powder will be sent to the Southern Orange County Chapter.

Masks go first to police, fire, control centers, and the medical division with four protective suits issued to the fire department. Additional masks depend on availability, with further equipment like helmets to follow. City Council also voted to buy medical supplies and address a hazardous dark spot at the Ocean Avenue pier, delegating action to the city electrican for dim-out compliance.
Mr. A. W. Stegen, proprietor of the Texaco Gas Station at 16th and Coast Highway, suffered serious injuries after his clothing ignited while cleaning a car. He sustained third degree burns to his legs and arms.
During an air raid and blackout first aid workers will need shelter at doorways for patients. If wounded but able to walk, go to the nearest first aid station.
