Mrs. Milton Tyler dined with Mrs. Harriet Bainman in Long Beach. Attendees at the Boulders City Reunion in Los Angeles included the Lyle Shepherds and Merritt Winterstein couples. Bill Bourne celebrated his 13th birthday with friends. Braddock enlisted in the Navy, heading to boot camp. Harris and Atkinson families from Oklahoma City visited. Seabee duty noted with Knott’s Berry Farm dinner. Essert spoke to the Lions. Postal and Dowland celebrated anniversaries and family visits continued.

Navy Transforms Seal Beach Home During Stationing
Betty remains in Seal Beach with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johnson to finish her school year at HBUHS while the Navy takes over the home. Long Beach Junior College Announces Summer Program
Long Beach Junior College offers two six week summer terms with tuition free sessions. Registration starts Monday June 19 after pre registration at the college and Long Beach high school. Courses include Radio Electricity for Eddy Navy tests, science, math, languages, drawing and secretarial training. Adult Education adds U S O hostess training, food preservation, sewing, naturalization, and English. A Community Drama Center is planned for Lakewood Village on campus.
