Red Cross to Offer Four Summer Swim Campaigns
Four eight week Red Cross swim campaigns run June 18 to August 11 in Southern Orange County. Programs cover all ages over six with five divisions from non swimmers to senior lifeguard. Campaigns run in Santa Ana Newport Harbor Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach with local sponsorships.

U S Opens Coffee Plant in Marseilles France
Uncle Sam has established a coffee roasting plant at Marseilles under Ninth Service Command. An army captain and four enlisted men operate the plant under a reverse lend lease contract, producing 12 000 pounds of coffee daily for troops in southern France.
