Block Leaders Plan Program for Civil Defense Effort

Fatality on 101 After Night Crash Injures Driver
Don M. Markham, 34, of West Los Angeles dies from injuries after a crash on Coast Highway 101 three miles east of Seal Beach near 3 a.m. Monday. He reportedly slept at the wheel and collided head on with a Santa Fe Trailways bus driven by W. B. Rose, 35, of Los Angeles. Bus passengers and driver unharmed. Seal Beach police report Earl McDuffey proprietor of the Circle Cafe had a car stolen from the post office lot Sunday night. The keys were left in the vehicle and it remains unrecovered. Garden group to centralize effort for victory garden program
