Belle Archer Dies After Noted Stage Career in Warren
Belle Archer, the actress who died Wednesday night in Warren, was a well known visitor here and starred in local productions. Her last visit was at the Lyceum in A Contented Woman, with earlier ventures including An Arabian Night. An incident on a New Jersey railroad near Bethlehem unnerved her company, as a drunken passenger forced his way into her seat and was killed when the train stopped at Catasauqua. Falk once called her the most beautiful woman in America, photographing her in many portraits.
