He says Major McKinley’s election is certain and only the margin remains to be decided.
The grand jury returned a true bill of indictment against Alexander K. McClure and Frank McLauchlin editors of the Times, charging criminal libel by James L. Miles. The alleged libel appeared in an editorial published weeks earlier before Miles withdrew as Republican sheriff nominee.
