Elmira May 7. Robert Emmett Hall, noted newspaper man and poet, has been missing since Friday. Friends fear he took his own life after a period of despondency and talk of ending it. Police and companions have failed to locate him. he arrived from Chicago two years ago.
The Meteor a new German yacht built for Emperor William by the Hendersons was towed from Plymouth toward Cowes when bad weather forced the tug to abandon the vessel. The yacht drifted ashore near Start Point and its fate and location were unknown.
Fremington New Jersey May 7 Harry Rittenhouse about 1 year old and living with his father Hiram Rittenhouse near Barbertown Hunterdon county committed suicide yesterday by hanging himself after other than what he was he ought to.
At Saratoga the general Presbyterian assembly faced protests over nominating Professor R M Burdick of Columbia College to the foreign board. In Philadelphia on May 27 Ira Sanborne, 68, beat his daughter in law Belle Sanborne, 26, while she slept with a six month old baby beside her, then set the room on fire. Neighbors saved mother and child. the infant died. Sanborne attempted suicide with needle punctures near the heart but survived and is now confined as insane in Philadelphia hospital.

A Ferristown resident, May Factate Gantz of Philadelphia, a patient at Norristown Hospital for the Insane, hanged himself last night. He had traveled to Washington months ago seeking to kill President Cleveland after a veto of a pension bill his father supported, authorities said.
