Witnesses said Adams threw a stone at Zieders, who fell. Zieders was from Juniata County, in Reiner City with a load of produce on Christmas Day.
In Huntington County, Indiana, a young woman Saville who died of typhoid pneumonia decades ago was exhumed as workers realigned an unplatted cemetery. The body, when lifted, appeared as a solid stone with petrified hair. The hair partly petrified and redeposited skin were noted, but the incident was kept quiet until a witness spoke.
Reading Pa March 10 The convention of representatives of third class elites of the state will be held in Reading tomorrow afternoon with Mayor Shanaman delivering an address of welcome. John H Keppleman councilman and prime mover outlines the work as paramount. A single session is expected and special committees will prepare for future conventions. Ball living near the county jail was arrested yesterday afternoon by Patrolmen Saltry and Matthews for threatening to kill his father and brother. A jail telegraph said Ball, drunk and crazed, brandished a four inch blade and tried to attack his relatives before being disarmed and hauled to the central station.
Joseph H Taylor of Philadelphia was arrested in Cincinnati on March 10 for embezzling $4 from the Tile Pariaware company in his city. He expressed willingness to return to Philadelphia for the case.
At Mulherin and Judge's barn in Taylor a horse showed rabies symptoms and a dead dog lay at the horse's feet. A second dog also displayed hydrophobia. The dog was shot, and a veterinary consult led to shooting the horse. Source notes unclear origin of the mad dog.
