In the borough of Jermyn v Depew equity case Judge Archbald ruled in favor of the defendant Nathaniel Depew. The borough sought an injunction to stop him from using the fenced area.
In Butte Montana on Saturday morning the bodies of six miners killed in a powder explosion at the St Lawrence mine were recovered. The workers apparently fled the shaft to escape the blast but could not reach safety in time. In New York, April 14, the mayor’s veto message on the Greater New York bill was read in the senate tonight.
