Family of four finds joy in Make-A-Wish Disney trip

Dustin and Mary Phillips of Stanford recount a chaotic, hopeful journey raising three sons Gage, Cruz, and Brett. Gage has a complex heart condition corrected since birth and brain development delays. High school pageant aids Make-A-Wish fund in Marion County

Volunteers Ryan Smith and Chuck Bryant visited Gage Phillips with Minnie Mouse and gifts. Gage greeted Ryan warmly during a later visit, inspiring the pair to take him to CiCi’s Pizza and games before the Junior Mister Pageant at Marion County High School, a fundraiser drawing 600 attendees to benefit Make-A-Wish. The event involved 22 finalists, 40 students, and 15 adults planning a 3 to 4 hour show. Since adopting Make-A-Wish a decade ago, Lebanon students have raised 81000 dollars. two other schools started similar pageants. Susie Hillard Bullock and Hillary Bullock contribute to Make-A-Wish Ohio Kentucky Indiana.
