PFC Daniel L. Stewart, 20, son of Basil E. and the late Mrs. Stewart of Scottsdale, is at Guam Naval Hospital with injuries from Vietnam. A 1968 Saguaro High graduate, he served six months in Vietnam and was injured when his infantry unit was overrun near Quang Tri Province at a site known as The Rockpile. He underwent extensive surgery and will be transferred to Balboa Naval Hospital in California next month.

Burglars stole $30 in currency but missed $20 in silver in a drawer at a service station at 366 E Indian School Rd. The break in occurred between 10 pm Thursday and 6 am today after criminals entered by breaking a window panel over a door. No other items reported missing.

Scottsdale High student reports exposure incident near Miller Road
A Scottsdale High female student told police she was approached in a church parking lot behind 300 N Miller Road at 2 05 pm by a man in a light blue imported car asking for directions. She said the man exposed himself and fled as she walked back to school. The suspect was described as about six feet tall with blond curly hair, wearing a blue shirt and white pants. The report noted the man was around 22 years old.
