Homemaker Project aids Phoenix seniors and the disabled
The Assistance League of Phoenix sponsors the Homemaker Project to provide personal care and light housekeeping to those in need. Fifteen aides serve 180 to 200 clients weekly with referrals from doctors and hospitals. A thrift shop funds the program, and an Oct. 3 champagne brunch at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel raises money with tiered tickets from 17.50 to 500 dollars.
