An inquest in Scottsdale Justice Court will convene at 1 30 p m on October 5 to investigate the death of Douglas Hartley 21 of 8017 E Granada Rd struck by a hit run driver as he rode a bicycle near the intersection of 77th Street and McDowell Road in the early hours.

Burglars Steal Coins From Hermosa Faye Apartments
Thieves damaged a utility room at Hermosa Faye apartments and took 100 in coins from two coin meters between Sept 5 and 9 am Saturday. Carl Edwards, owner, said meters were ripped from walls and electrical lines cut. A separate burglary at the Jerald Yeary residence netted 50 in cash and two containers of Balium and Bispherol drugs after a bedroom window was broken in.
