Scottsdale boxing rule sparks Jaycees bid for change
The Scottsdale Jaycees urge the AIA to modify its boxing rule that bars athletes from school sports if they participate in amateur boxing. They argue the rule is arbitrary and unfair, calling for a full review and offering to assist in negotiations. The issue affects coach Tommy Campbell and player Gary Weirck, who may miss games due to prior boxing activity.
