Beavers Eye Branding Iron Title in Crowded City Fight
Scottsdale High the preseason favorite to win the city football title faces a tough race with Coronado and Arcadia looming as key challengers. The Beavers boast four top backs led by Robbie Jackson and Jack Armstrong, but missing Armstrong could hinder their bid as Coronado and Sunnyslope emerge as serious contenders. Moon Valley and Saguaro also loom, with questions at quarterback and depth across rosters. Wayne Mattingly anchors the Beavers’ offense as practice continues under coach Ben Anderson.
