The Atomic Energy Commission detonated two underground blasts near the Nevada test site. Las Vegas structures trembled for 90 seconds with no damage or injuries reported. Seismographs in Pasadena and Berkeley recorded a fairly strong tremor, with technicians estimating a magnitude of six or seven on the Richter scale.
