Arizona Wildcats Suffer 44-34 Upset at New Mexico
New Mexico quarterback Steve Myer threw four TD passes as the Lobos outgained Arizona 597 yards to 351. Arizona, once stout on defense, yielded 28 and 44 points in the past two weeks and slid to 2-1 in the WAC behind rival Arizona State and Colorado State. Coach Jim Young lamented the flat effort after last week's win and noted the defense could not stop New Mexico in the second half.
