Scottsdale Community College student government asks MCCCD to freeze funding for the campus security division until proper guidelines are drawn. The move follows a September incident in which former football player Joe Rodrigues discarded an expired handicap parking sticker warning after a campus security officer allegedly removed it. Rodrigues pled guilty to a Sept. 17 charge, paid a $25 fine, and served a suspended jail term, while students debate security program authority and potential protests.
