Scottsdale panel to present overcrowding solutions
A 15 member citizens advisory committee to the Scottsdale school board may file its final recommendation tonight on ways to relieve overcrowding. Committee Chairman Don Chambers said the panel hopes to agree at 7 30 p m at the administration center. The group has met in closed sessions since September and will release its recommendations only after presenting to the board of trustees likely at the next regular meeting at Paiute school.

Paradise Valley voters defeat 2.2 million school bond
Paradise Valley School District property owners rejected a 2.2 million bond to expand the high school and build a second campus by 443 to 120. Supt. Matt Hanhila said a smaller 750000 bond to fund immediate expansion would be proposed, including enlarging the current high school to about 1500 students and purchasing a 40 acre site. The district says growth is steep with 30 percent yearly increases and a 1964 fall enrollment expected near 1000. the state rent for the site rose to 3200 annually. A 1.6 million elementary expansion bond passed last year. more bond votes would be scheduled after five weeks due to advertising rules.
