Crisis nursery planned to aid stressed families in Phoenix
Maricopa County General Hospital auxiliary funds a crisis nursery to help parents under pressure with young children. Plans modeled after Tucson facility include a safe, cheerful space for children four and under, near the hospital with a referral service for professional help. The project, funded by past donations, still seeks a building or facility and will not serve as free babysitting. The auxiliary hosts La Fiesta on November 1 at Paradise Inn to raise funds and recruit volunteers.
