Community Chest budget outlines 1948 49 plans for Scottsdalians
Mrs. Cecil Raleigh outlines last year’s expenditures and a proposed budget for 1948 49. Major item was 700 to Scottsdale Recreation Committee for youth programs and field lighting. Other allocations included 190 to Boy Scouts 120 to Girl Scouts plus requests to double Scout allotment and fund YMCA YWCA youth activities and an emergency fund for locals and transients.

Scottsdale High students join the Young Arizona Fashion show in the Fiesta room of the Westward Ho hotel on Saturday October 23 at 2 30 pm. Mary O Neal Fay Reddell Bobby Jo Wright and Shirley Adams will model or usher for Camp Wametochick aid. Proceeds go to build a well for Camp Fire Girls near Prescott.
