Mortgage loan delinquencies drop at S&L associations
The United States League of Savings Associations reports August mortgage loan delinquencies at 78 percent, down 11 basis points from July. Norman Strunk notes this is a yearly low while first quarter rates hovered near 0.98 percent. Delinquencies cover conventional FHA and VA loans across 816 member associations holding about 40 percent of assets.
