Valley National Bank to Open Sixth Scottsdale Office

Construction will begin at the southeast corner of Scottsdale Rd and Oak for a Valley National Bank office serving central Scottsdale. The Spanish style building, designed by James Deremiah and built by Redden Construction, spans 5 000 square feet with parking drive‑in banking safe deposit and lobby teller services. Completion is set for late February.

Motorola Wins U S Contract For Electronic Supplies

Tucson appoints J Gilkinson to lead 300 man police force

Tucson selects William J Gilkinson of Tucson as chief of police for the 300 member force. The unanimous City Council vote follows a recommendation by City Manager Roger O Mara after an oral review board in Tucson. Capt Hugh Cleary of Scottsdale ranked highest among applicants before the board.
