Crisis Nursery aids abused infants in Phoenix area
In Maricopa County, the Crisis Nursery in Phoenix operates 24 hours to shelter endangered infants and provide counseling for parents. Director Joan Dahlstedt notes about 70 cases since June, with most admissions via police or officials and plans to expand from five to twelve cribs as demand grows.
